About Martha Speaks
Martha Speaks, a vocabulary-based children's series from the WGBH creators of Curious George and Arthur, is designed to bolster the oral vocabulary of 4- to 7-year-olds, engaging them with humor and imagination.
Helen's dad recalls the important part that Martha played on the day that baby Jake was born. Later, a story about a heroic Alaskan sled dog inspires Martha to become a sled dog too.
