Curzons Robin Hood Suite is very interesting to hear again. I had forgotten how enjoyable it is. I bought a CD some years ago called Robin Hood Country, with the East of England Orchestra under conductor Malcolm Nabarro, which contains that suite, as well as Korngolds Symphonic Suite called The Adventures of Robin Hood, a Nabarro piece called Lincoln Green and two pieces by Eric Coates and a march by Ron Goodwin. So I got it out again to play the other pieces.

Today on Keith’s Classical Corner the Czech-Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Adrian Leaper, plays Frederic Curzon’s “Robin Hood Suite.”
