In this episode we celebrate Jazz saxophonist Jackie McLean, who grew up in the Jazz scene and enjoyed informal tutoring from the likes of his neighbors Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, and Charlie Parker. McLean played on Miles Davis' Dig album when he was just 19, and he went on to become a composer, bandleader and music educator.
