In 1975 rural Texas, a local mayor's daughter grapples with an unplanned pregnancy--finally deciding to have her baby in secret before giving her away in a hidden adoption. SUNSHINE tells the intimate story of this second-generation single mother and her own struggle with the idea of family, 30 years on.
