Political speechwriter Theodore Sorensen died over the weekend at age 82. Sorensen was a top advisor to President John F. Kennedy and wrote some of Kennedy's most compelling speeches, including his famous inaugural address. He was at the president's side during some of the most difficult periods in American history, including the Cuban Missile Crisis, the civil rights movement and the first moon mission. In May 2008, Sorensen appeared on Greater Boston to discuss his vast political career and his book, Counselor: A Life at the Edge of History.
