One of the chief concerns in Japan right now is the threat of a nuclear meltdown. The nuclear power industry had almost lived down previous disasters like Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. But last Friday’s earthquake and subsequent tsunami has once again given the world reason to question and fear the power of the atom.
