On Tuesday, attorney, political activist and bestselling author Elizabeth Edwards died of breast cancer at age 61. Edwards was a key political strategist for her husband John Edwards when he campaigned for president in 2004 and 2008. She was diagnosed with breast cancer the day after her husband lost the 2004 election. She seperated from John Edwards earlier this year after he admitted fathering a child with another woman. In 2006, she joined Emily Rooney to discuss her book, Saving Graces, about living with breast cancer and the death of her son, Wade.
