Call the Midwife, based on the best-selling memoirs of the late Jennifer Worth, returns for a second series.
Nonnatus House opens its doors to warmly welcome the audience back into 1950s East End London and follows Poplar’s community of exceptional midwives and nursing nuns. Join them for a new year of births, babies, and bicycling, as well as some blossoming romance.

Dr. Turner is determined that Poplar will no longer live under the threat of tuberculosis. While the nuns and nurses support his campaign to bring screening facilities to the area, Jenny’s nursing rounds lead her to a family that has suffered devastating misfortune from the disease. Now, Jenny works to reconcile the dying father man and his only remaining daughter.
