Lobster Lows
We may be happy, but lobstermen are not. The price of lobster is astoundingly low – as low as $1.25 a pound in Maine and around $3.75 a pound around here. That's less than the cost of bologna. Apparently, there was a perfect storm of events that led to a flush lobster season. WGBH reporter Toni Waterman interviewed Gloucester's lobstermen last week; she shares some of their stories with us.
