The seminal group Planxty which released their first recording under that title in 1971, actually originated as Prosperous.

Christy Moore, Donal Lunny, Liam Og O'Flynn, and Andy Irvine had gotten together during the previous two years in the village of Prosperous in County Kildare. An album with that title appeared in 1970 and had a big impact on the folk world. A Celtic Sojourn explores this recording on this edition of the program.
