The Mulchahys are a very talented family of musicians from Abbeyfeale in Co. Limerick. Mick Mulcahy is an accordion player and his daughters Louise and Michelle are two of the finest traditional musicians playing today. Their new CD has won praise from many quarters for its fine choice of material reflecting the distinct style of the region of Ireland it comes from, the border area around where the counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick meet, an area known as Sliabh Luachra (The Mountain of the Rushes). It will be explored on this edition of the program.
