WGBH Previews Season 5 of Downton Abbey with Actress Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith) and Historical Advisor Alastair Bruce



BOSTON, Mass. (December 2, 2014) – On Sunday, December 7, WGBH will celebrate the fifth season of Downton Abbey with special guests at an afternoon tea event for WGBH’s Ralph Lowell Society Members.

12-1pm: VIP Reception to mingle with talent, Q&A and photos

1-4pm: A sneak preview of the first episode of Downton Abbey Season 5, tea with Alastair Bruce, and a panel on ensuring period accuracy on-screen and on-set, including costumes, props and etiquette.

Downton Abbey Season 5 will premiere Sunday, January 4, 2015, 9pm ET on MASTERPIECE on WGBH 2. A TV special “The Manners of Downton Abbey” will follow at 10pm ET, featuring Alastair Bruce and an inside look into how the aristocratic class in 1900’s Britain dined, dressed and behaved.
