WGBH News Announces New Facebook Live Monthly Series

Inside Boston with Joe Mathieu series to come live from the Boston Public Library studio

Boston, MA (January 16, 2018) – On Thursday, January 18 from noon to 1pm, WGBH News will air the first edition of Inside Boston with Joe Mathieu, a monthly Facebook Live session from the Boston Public Library studio with 89.7 WGBH’s Morning Edition host Joe Mathieu. The series will highlight issues around the city, including affordable housing, gentrification and more, chronicling and exploring a different Boston neighborhood each month.

The series’ inaugural episode will focus on Jamaica Plain, and will include a discussion about the issues surrounding the neighborhood as well as celebrating what makes Jamaica Plain an attractive Boston community. State Representative Jeffrey Sanchez will join as a guest to offer his insights.

“The WGBH studio and Newsfeed Café at the Boston Public Library have become a great communal meeting area and place for a citizens to engage on the issues in their neighborhoods,” said Linda Polach, executive managing editor at WGBH News. “We look forward to spearheading conversations about issues and celebrating the unique character of Boston’s neighborhoods.”
