Each month, the Highlight goes beyond the broadcast, giving visitors access
to material not available in the television program. For instance, the
May 2000 Highlight featured Visible
Republic, a new program for public art in Boston, and invites visitors
to watch streaming video clips and read extended excerpts from interviews
with the artists. The November 1999
Highlight expanded on the story about Shimon Attie's work at the Institute
of Contemporary Art, entitled "An Unusually Bad Lot." The site presented
extended excerpts from interviews with the artist and Jill Medvedow, director
of the ICA.
This area provides visitors with descriptions of the features
from the broadcast and offers information on how to attend the events covered in each feature.
This area presents streaming video of the Coming Events from the broadcast and offers detailed information on how to attend these events.
As the series builds, so does the Arts Links section. Arts Links provides links to the websites of local arts organizations featured in past broadcasts.
The Archives houses descriptions of past broadcasts, including features and
highlights.
