Boston Jazz Repertory Orchestra does "Giant Steps"

In the October 2001 episode, Greater Boston Arts listened in on the 17-piece Boston Jazz Repertory Orchestra as they finessed Bill Barron's arrangement of John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" for an upcoming performance. In an interview with Greater Boston Arts, Co-director Bill Lowe explained how Barron's big band arrangement contains a humor that is not usually associated with Coltrane.
