Boston Expressionism
In September 2002, DeCordova Museum opened its comprehensive retrospective, "Painting in Boston: 1950-2000." In the November 2002 broadcast, Greater Boston Arts speaks with one of the curators of the exhibit, Nick Capasso, on the subject of Boston Expressionism, which Capasso calls "the house style of the city" at mid-century. In the excerpts from his interview on the pages that follow, Capasso describes Boston Expressionism and details its history and influence.
