American Experience Co-op

Position Description:
Duties include but are not limited to: Tasks would be primarily assigned from the American Experience Digital department.  Other duties would come from various departments within American Experience, such as Marketing, Pre-Production, Post-Production, Archive, Contracts and Budget. 

Duties would include assisting the department staff with research for program websites and productions (such as historical content and image research), as well as assisting with fact checking, transcriptions, and database management.  Day-to-day duties would be based in wide ranging need for logistical and administration support. Tasks assigned vary according to the intern's experience and areas of study as well as the needs of the unit at the time.
Skills Preferred:

  • Library and Internet research skills are a must, along with good writing and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Mac Computers, Microsoft Word, Photoshop, and Filemaker Pro is helpful.
  • Telephone and other office skills are a plus.
  • College Major Desire: Graduate or undergrad students with strong library and Internet research skills in majors such as Communication/Broadcasting, History, and English.
