About NOVA:
NOVA is the most-watched prime time science series on American television, reaching an average of five million viewers weekly. Now in its fourth decade of production, the series remains committed to producing in-depth science programming in the form of one-hour documentaries and long-form mini-series, from the latest breakthroughs in technology to the deepest mysteries of the natural world. NOVA is produced by WGBH Boston and airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on most PBS stations. 
NOVA Marketing and Communication Internship Description:
Interns works closely with NOVA’s Director of Public Relations to support day-to-day activities related to a broad scope of promotional efforts surrounding the NOVA brand.  The goal of this internship is to expose students to a wide variety of marketing tactics, including (but not limited to): public relations and branding campaigns, event planning and execution, identifying key messaging, selection of promotional assets (images, footage, marketing collateral), targeted press outreach, and strategic partnerships and cross promotion with both external organizations and internal departments within NOVA and WGBH.
All candidates must be an enrolled student. Due to WGBH policies, the internship is unpaid. However, we are committed to offering our interns worthwhile, fulfilling learning experiences and opportunities to become immersed in the promotion of an award-winning, widely recognized media brand.

Ability to work with others

An interest in marketing, communications, journalism, science, and technology 
Time Commitment:
In order for our marketing and communication interns to have a meaningful experience, we require at least a 16-hour/week commitment. Full days are not necessary, but a regular schedule is preferred.
We offer fall semester internships (Sept-Jan), spring semester internships (Jan-May), and summer internships (May/June - Aug/Sept).
