Newport Folk Festival Preview
This weekend, the 52nd Newport Folk Festival takes at Fort Adams Park in Newport, Rhode Island with one of the most astonishing lineup in the festivals long and storied history. Elvis Costello will headline. Emmylou Harris will be there along with Gillian Welch, The Decembrists, Gogol Bordello, M. Ward, Amos Lee, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and dozens of other acts. With us to talk about them all – and give us a bit of a peek behind the scenes – is the co-director of the Festival, Jay Sweet.
