Chuck Turner Expelled From The City Council: In an 11-1 vote by his colleagues, embattled Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner – who was convicted on federal corruption charges in October – has been expelled from office. But as WGBH Political Reporter Adam Reilly reports, Turner has no intention of going gently into political oblivion. In a fiery press conference on City Hall Plaza yesterday, Chuck Turner vowed to campaign against every councilor who voted for his expulsion in next year’s elections. He also accused the council’s Irish members of dishonoring the memory of James Michael Curley – the legendary Boston mayor who kept his job despite a federal prison sentence. City Council President Michael Ross is here and will give us his take right after we check in with Adam.
