The National Transportation Safety Board has a recommendation for drivers: put down the cellphones and other electronic gadgets when behind the wheel and don't useeven hands-free phones either. The NTSB is also recommending that states ban drivers from using such devices, except in emergencies. The directive comesafter a probe found that a deadly highway pileup in Missouri last year was triggered by a driver who was distracted by 11 text messages sent or received in the 11 minutes immediately before the crash. Since issuing the directiveearlier this week, the board has been swamped with calls, emails and tweetsfrom drivers both praising and condemning the action. We discuss the implications of banning cell phones for drivers.Guest:
