h Hurricane Irene has weakened slightly in it’s path up the east coast, New England is bracing for what could be the most menacing storm the region has seen in decades, and we take a look at this week's headlines. President Obama – who is still on vacation – is monitoring the weather, Libya and the economy from nearby Martha’s Vineyard. Also likely on the president’s radar are the latest national political polls, in light of the fact that – at least for now – Mitt Romney is no longer the Republican front-runner. We’ll look at the twitter gaffe that’s landed a close advisor to Romney and Senator Scott Brown in hot water, as well as gambling’s likely resurrection on Beacon Hill. Plus, Steve Jobs resignation will force Apple to prove whether it’s built to last, and thumbs up, thumbs down on 9/11 memorial wine and much more. We’re joined by Mariellen Burns, of Regan Communications; Dave Wedge, of the Boston Herald; and David Kravitz, of Blue Mass Group.
