Week In Review
We may look back at this week as the one when Mitt Romney virtually wrapped up the Republican nomination – though, not if Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Ron Paul, or Jon Huntsman has anything to do with it. Certainly, though, it was a week that the spotlight began to shine – brightly - on Bain Capital. Also this week, we saw President Obama rake in a tremendous amount of cash for his reelection effort – along with MA Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren. The debate around a “three strikes” law winding its way towards Gov. Patrick’s desk has also been heating up. Plus, we’ll dip into your letters, remember Haiti’s earthquake two years on, and, of course, thumbs up, thumbs down, on – among other things – the phrases of the week - “Pious baloney” and “Vulture capitalism” - and the possible demise of Twinkies.
