Last week, conductor James Levine announced that he would be stepping down as Boston Symphony Orchestra’s music director. We looked at what he brought to Boston and the BSO. Is this an end of a golden age or yet another opportunity for Symphony Hall to bring a new sensibility and sound to the city?
