Preventative Measures Against EEE
It’s that time of year again: when the state of Massachusetts launches an urgent campaign against mosquitoes and triple-E, or Eastern Equine Encephalitis. Aerial spraying begins in the southeastern part of the state, but so far no cases have been reported. Meanwhile, some residents have taken a more ecologically friendly approach than pesticide, releasing dragonflies into the wild with the hope that they will act as natural predators to reduce the mosquito population.
