Brookline's Big Scan
Police surveillence cameras are controversial. They can serve as an invaluable eye witness to a crime, but they can also be seen as a gross invasion of privacy. This familiar debate played out in Brookline when lawmakers voted to allow police officers to use newly available license plate scanning technology. Guests:
Dan O'Leary, Brookline Police Chief
Kade Crockford, privacy rights coordinator at the ACLU of Masschusetts
