Mick Moloney is a well known musician/singer whose work in traditional Irish music began in the 1960's in a group called the Johstones.  Since that time, Mick has lived in the US pursuing both music and an academic carreer in ethnomusicology.  He currently teaches at NYU and has made a study of the vaudville, tin-pan-alley songs of early 20th century Irish immigrants.  His latest work intiguingly titled "If it wasn't for the Irish and the Jews" explores those songs and is the feature on this edition of the program.
