Jordi Savall is known as one of the great players and interpreters of early music and is credited largely with bringing the Viola De Gamba back into vogue. Recently, he teamed with harpist Andrew Lawrence-King to create one of the more intriguing collections of traditional Celtic music recorded in many years. Drawing from song airs of Ireland and Scotland, dance tunes from around the Celtic world, and particularly on the repertoire of the blind 17th century Irish Harper Turlough O'Carolan, this collection is featured on this edition of A Celtic Sojourn.
