It is amazing to think that during his lifetime and even after his death, Napoleon exerted such influence on Irish culture. Though he never set foot on the island, Napoleon Bonaparte gave the Irish people hope for liberation from the yoke of England.

Using all traditional tunes and songs, the Chieftains assembled a brilliant suite celebrating and chronicling Napoleon's rise and fall as seen through the aspirations of the Irish.
