Maybe, but how's this for a trend: 157 years of Messiah performances, right here in Boston. You can hear the most recent Handel and Haydn Society performances, conducted by Harry Christophers, here on 99.5, Boston's All Classical Station, on Dec. 19 at 2pm and on Dec. 24 at 8pm, just one part of a whole lineup of special holiday programs.
