Thursday, Nov. 11: Boston Homicide Rate Surge

It seems everyday recently there’s news of another horrific slaying in Boston. That quadruple murder in Mattapan back in September, the man who died from stab wounds sustained outside a Roxbury liquor store this past weekend. Have we just become more cognizant now that the election - and the round-the-clock coverage that goes along with it – has come and gone? This morning – The Boston Globe had the answer. The murder rate is up… some 46-and-a-half percent since this time last year… and officials – like Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis – are attributing the spike to an up-tick in drug crime. Joining us to explain, is the Commissioner himself.
