It seems everyday recently there’s news of another horrific slaying in Boston. That quadruple murder in Mattapan back in September, the man who died from stab wounds sustained outside a Roxbury liquor store this past weekend. Have we just become more cognizant now that the election - and the round-the-clock coverage that goes along with it – has come and gone? This morning – The Boston Globe had the answer. The murder rate is up… some 46-and-a-half percent since this time last year… and officials – like Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis – are attributing the spike to an up-tick in drug crime.
