A star around the world
Since its inception, Nova has been seen on television in more than 75 countries, reaching at least half the world population. More than 50 major national broadcasters have carried Nova programs, including CCTV in China, SBS and ABS in Australia, SABC in South Africa, NHK in Japan, and IRIB in Iran. Nova programs also are seen worldwide on the Pay-TV cable/satellite systems of National Geographic International and Discovery International, and on major transnational satellite broadcasters such as Al-Jazeera and Phoenix Satellite (Hong Kong/China). From the biggest cities to the most remote locations, Nova programs are available to educate, entertain, and inform.

Every month, All-Classical WGBH draws more than 100,000 listeners from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia who enjoy our classical service 24/7. Almost 40% of the audience is listening from outside the United States.

The World is the first daily international radio news program created specifically for an American audience. A WGBH coproduction with Public Radio International and the BBC World Service, The World sheds light on the stories that affect us all, offering on-the-ground perspectives on the global economic crisis with specials like The Urbanization of China and Undercover in Zimbabwe. 2.6 million people hear The World on radio and the Web every week.
