In an immersive narrative, Ken Burns and Lynn Novick tell the epic story of the Vietnam War as it has never-before been told on film. The Vietnam War features testimony from nearly 80 witnesses, including many Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both the winning and losing sides.

As part of this broadcast event, WGBH will be presenting complementary content to further educate and enlighten viewers on the events surrounding the Vietnam War. These will include: A timeline that places the events detailed in the miniseries in a chronological context per episodes and for the full series. A collection of biography's for the many personalities featured in the documentary. A map of the battles, stations and skirmishes of the Vietnam War, overlaid over a modern day map.
