Join WGBH News State House Reporter Mike Deehan at the WGBH Studio in the Boston Public Library for an evening of brain-exasperating trivia based on the news and current events. Trivia Night will feature opportunities for team-based and individual trivial glory as well as prizes for the winners.

Beer and wine is available for purchase (with valid ID) at the Newsfeed Café.

Check-in for WGBH News Trivia Night starts at 6pm. The first question will be read at 6:30pm.

Format:

• 20 minutes of pub-style team trivia, during which your team works together to produce one answer to each question
• 10-minute lightning round, during which each team sends one representative to buzz in. You only get one guess per question, so use it wisely!
• 20 minutes of pub-style team trivia, round 2
• 10-minute lightning round, round 2
• 10-minute team wager round, during which your team can bet it all and try to pull ahead — or bet low to lower your risk of losing those final points!

Rules:

• The first question will be read at 6:30pm. You are welcome to join after 6:30pm, but you will forgo answering whichever questions you missed, and any points therein.
• Maximum number of people per team is 6.
• Scoring updates will be provided by the host between each round.
• You may send a different team member to represent your team at each of the lightning rounds, or the same one both times.
• In the event of a tie following the wager round, there will be an additional question issued, also for a wager.

WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library is located at 700 Boylston Street at the corner of Exeter Street, inside the Johnson Building and adjacent to the Newsfeed Café.
