Dental Care

Tooth Tutoring Program
Dental disease is the number one childhood disease in the US and, although it is almost
completely preventable, many children on the Cape and Islands don't get regular
preventative dental care. Tooth Tutors and the Ellen Jones Clinic provide pediatric
dental care for children in need.

The Clothesline Project started on Cape Cod in 1990 to address the issue of violence

is a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a

worst red tide outbreak in thirty years. The closures happened in June, a critical month

This syndrome is genetically-based, occurring once in about 15,000 births, and is found
in all races and ethnic groups. Among the more serious symptoms are mild to moderate
mental retardation, emotional and behavioral problems, and an insatiable appetite and
slow body metabolism which can lead to obesity and related health problems.
The Gilbough Center is a nationally respected pioneer in the field of
residental rehabilitation for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome. The center maintains

The mission of TWC is to offer safe and desirable places for youth with diverse programming, to
encourage and promote positive youth development, and ultimately a strong community.
The Juice Bar is a community-oriented, teen-drive, safe, alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free place where
youth are supported in a positive and healthy manner.
The Juice Bar offers a variety of programming for youth 14-19 years of age throughout Cape Cod and
the Islands.
