Follow the affairs of Englishwoman Rose Coyne (Hattie Morahan), her husband, Michael, their daughter Emma and son Francis in Northern Ireland during World War II. Aaron Staton is Captain Dreyfuss, the American Army officer who upends Rose's life.

My Mother and Other Strangers from WGBH’s Masterpiece stars Hattie Morahan (Sense and Sensibility) as Englishwoman Rose Coyne, raising her daughter Emma and son Francis in Northern Ireland during World War II. Owen McDonnell (An Klondike) is her loving husband Michael, a Northern Irishman who realizes he never lived up to her dreams. Aaron Staton (Mad Men) is Captain Dreyfuss, the honorable American officer who upends her life.

Tonight, learn Capt. Dreyfuss’ plan to thwart advances from Rose’s sister, Vera. Emma gets man advice. Rose and the captain get more serious.
