Renowned scientist Stephen Hawking reveals our true potential in a six-part series that challenges a selection of volunteers and viewers to think like the greatest geniuses of the past and answer some of humanity's toughest and most enduring questions.

In back-to-back episodes, he challenges them to work out why we exist at all, and to figure out where the universe came from. Hawking takes us down a rabbit hole of profound realizations, learning to think like philosophers as much as scientists.

Watch Genius by Stephen Hawking: Why Are We Here? at 9pm and Where Did the Universe Come From? at 10pm tonight on WGBH 2. More airings
