Black Men Go to War, White Men Go to College - 1970

 A man in silhouette talks about the fact that white men don’t want to go to war because they are in college. “The average black cat that ever went to college did it because he had to first risk his damn life to do it… Most of our college graduates are GI Bill vets. We served… These cats, papa pays, you go to school. All right, big deal, man. God damn it, my black boy goes to war, and he comes back, and he goes to school, and he’s been black a long time. He’s hurt. He’s suffering. And then he can’t even use his goddamn knowledge.”
