The Stave Sessions: Listen Outside the Lines

On March 15, the Celebrity Series of Boston launches the Stave Sessions, a one-week series of concerts that highlights artists with an eclectic, omnivorous approach to artistic inspiration. Celebrity Series President and CEO Gary Dunning talks with WCRB's Brian McCreath about what distinguishes the Stave Sessions from other concert experiences.

The Stave Sessions take place at 160 Massachusetts Ave., an innovative space at the Berklee College of Music that cultivates a unique concert experience. Not quite a club, and definitely not a concert hall, 160 Mass Ave features floor to ceiling windows that, according to the Celebrity Series, "offer concertgoers an urban backdrop with views of the city, and an upscale cabaret vibe."

Complete lineup of the Stave Sessions:

Sun., March 15 - Banda Magda
Opening: Chorobop

Tue., March 17 - Gabriel Kahane
Opening: Kate Davis

Wed., March 18 - Roomful of Teeth

Thur., March 19 - Ben Sollee and Becca Stevens

Fri., March 20 - Brookly Rider

Sat., March 21 - Third Coast Percussion
