The Daily Drink: Roasted Chicken with Beer

"It is significant, I think, that Lidia doesn’t specify which type or style of beer to use in this recipe! That may be because she’s mainly a wine drinker, but it’s also partly because most beers will work just fine in this dish. As a specific recommendation, try an amber ale to go with this recipe. Quinn’s Amber Ale, for example, is produced by the Wachusett Brewing Company in Westminster, MA. It has enough body to stand up to roasted foods like the chicken in this dish. On its own the beer has a sweetish, almost caramel-like taste, meaning it should affect the flavor and aroma of your roast chicken quite nicely.
