Everybody has a story about Sept. 11. Some of us were there, saw it happen, felt the unspeakable pain of loss that day. Others felt our country change, our lives change, even if we had been far away that day. WGBH joins our community and the world marking the somber anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. It's a day to remember both the attacks and the changes they brought to the country; the pain of that day and the healing that continues to this day. We'll explore stories big and small, personal and political. Please join us.


 

Ed Freni: 'We Had To Find Ways To Harden The Airport

On Sept. 11, Ed Freni was Director of Aviation Operations for Logan Airport. Today, he is Director of Aviation for three airports owned by Massport: Logan, Hanscom Airfield and Worcestor Regional Airport. He reflects on the lessons of that day.
