Acclaimed guitarist Miloš Karadaglic embarks on an epic musical journey through the heartland of Spain, celebrating the music of Joaquín Rodrigo and Manuel de Falla.

Having established himself as a premier classical guitarist, Miloš Karadaglic takes Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez as the starting point for a journey across the Spanish landscape, paying tribute to the extraordinary music and musicians that placed the modern classical guitar firmly on the international stage.

Karadaglic's debut album, Mediterràneo, topped charts, and earned him Gramophone Magazine’s Young Artist of the Year award. Just one year later, he built his second album, Pasión, which won Classic Brit and Echo Klassik awards, on that foundation. Now, with Aranjuez, his first concerto recording, he allows the full range of his talents to shine.  The young guitarist's intelligent and technical voice rings clearly not only in solo pieces, but also in works with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Two works with that ensemble bookend the recording: Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez and Fantasia para un gentilhombre. Despite his age, Karadaglic navigates these tracks with care and complexity. According to him, "Aranjuez serves a different reality where emotion overflows, and the string becomes a voice. It is homage to the music and musicians that changed the course of history for the guitar."  The recording is unquestionably a tribute to the artists who came before Karadaglic, but it also reflects own voice and perspective.
