Singer-songwriter and fiddler Carrie Rodriguez makes her third appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live at the Culture Center Theater in Charleston, W.Va. Rodriguez has also appeared on Mountain Stage twice alongside songwriting legend Chip "Wild Thing" Taylor, who is often credited with discovering her talents while she was playing at a record shop in Austin, Texas.
Since then, Rodriguez has toured with Alejandro Escovedo and released eight albums in as many years. On her newest record, Give Me All You Got, she collaborates with Taylor once more in the songs "Devil in Mind" and "Don't Mind Waiting," which are included in her set here. Rodriguez is backed by the Mountain Stage band and her friend Lucas Jacobs on lap steel, acoustic and electric guitars.
