Watching movies is a great way to discover new music. So, fresh on the heels of the Oscars, we want to know about the songs you discovered in a film. This can be music written specifically for the film, or a song that appeared in the movie.

I knew I had a rare gem of a song when even Bob Boilen couldn't place it, especially since it was by The Kinks, one of his favorite bands. The cut was "Nothing In This World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl" and I'd discovered it in the soundtrack to one of my favorite movies, Rushmore.

It turns out the song originally appeared on the 1965 album Kinda Kinks, the band's second record, and somehow "Nothing In This World" had slipped Bob's mind. The album also had the monster hit "Tired Of Waiting For You," so you can forgive Bob for missing what was a pretty minor track at the time. Also he is quite old.

So, fresh on the heels of last night's Oscars, we want to know about the songs you discovered in a movie. This can be original music written specifically for the film, or a song that appeared in the movie. Tell us the artist, song name and movie it's from. On Friday we'll put together a playlist of some of the standouts.
