The Brooklyn roots-rock group has caused a stir with its self-titled debut. Watch its members perform one of the album's catchiest songs, "The One You Should've Let Go," live at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City — the same stage on which they recorded The Lone Bellow.

A lot is about to change for The Lone Bellow, a trio of Southerners who now call Brooklyn home: The band has yet to perform outside of New York, but its self-titled debut album is already charting on iTunes. Its members just quit their day jobs this month so they can go on tour.

You'll see in this performance why they're bound to connect with new fans on the road. Zach Williams, Kanene Pipkin and Brian Elmquist are natural, passionate live performers who play and sing infectious folk-rock in close harmony with startling confidence.

The band's debut was recorded at a New York City club, Rockwood Music Hall, which closed its doors for three days and nights so The Lone Bellow could record. WFUV captured this performance of "The One You Should've Let Go" on the exact same stage, which might explain just a little of the magic here. Given the anthemic appeal of Williams' songwriting, it's no surprise that it inspires a spontaneous audience sing-along.
