Playwright, director and, now, author Tyler Perry talks about his new book Don't Make A Black Woman Take Off Her Earrings. Perry is best known for his role as the wisecracking Southern grandmother, Madea.

Tyler Perry talks about his new book, Don't Make A Black Woman Take off her Earrings. Perry became rich and famous as the wisecracking, pistol-packing, advice-dispensing Southern grandmother, Madea.

Madea is the star of five stage plays written by Perry, as well as two movies he wrote and directed: Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea's Family Reunion.
