Boston Baroque: Mozart and the Levins

Boston Baroque is joined by Robert Levin, one of the world's foremost authorities on Mozart, and his wife, Ya-fei Chuang, a performer of rare poetry and insight, for Mozart's Concerto in E-flat for two fortepianos, K. 365, in concert at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall.

Also included in this All-Mozart program are the Symphony No. 29 in A, K. 201, and the Symphony No. 36 in C, K. 425, the "Linz."

Bach's St. Matthew Passion with the Handel and Haydn Society, in concert from Symphony Hall

Harry Christophers and the Handel and Haydn Society bring J.S. Bach's greatest sacred work to the Symphony Hall stage, and Classical New England brings it to the radio and online on Friday, April 6, at 7pm.


With a stellar cast of soloists and the direction of Artistic Director Harry Christophers, the performance reflects a significant chapter in H&H history. It was the Handel and Haydn Society that gave the first performance of the St. Matthew Passion in the U.S. in 1879.

I think this site is super, and the videos excellent. Boston may be a Hockey town, a Baseball town, but it is also an Early Music town and 99.5 is right about getting into that scene, with broadcasts live from the festival as well as the new Sunday morning program.
